Senator Donley moved that CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 1. Senator Taylor objected. Senator Sharp rose to a point of order. President Halford cautioned the members to confine debate to the motion. Senator Donley moved and asked unanimous consent that his motion be withdrawn. Without objection, it was so ordered. 1993-04-16 Senate Journal Page 1445 SB 174 Senator Donley moved that CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 2. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator Donley offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 1, line 12: Delete "and" Page 2, line 1: After "customers": Insert ", and whose written contract with owners of taxicab vehicles, taxicab permits, or radio dispatch services specifically provides that the contract places no restrictions on hours worked by the individual or on areas in which the individual may work except to comply with local ordinances" Page 2, line 14: After "AS 23.10.055(13)": Insert ", unless the hours worked by the individual or the areas in which the individual may work are restricted except to comply with local ordinances" Senator Donley moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Rieger objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, Amendment No. 2 was adopted. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) am was automatically in third reading. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clause. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Pearce moved and asked unanimous consent that she be shown as a cosponsor on CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) am. Without objection, it was so ordered.
